About CP Data Protection
CP Data Protection®, the clear and practical data protection consultancy for purpose-driven organisations.
Perhaps you’re not sure where to start with data protection compliance? Or maybe you don’t know what you should do next, from your overwhelming to-do list? We hear you!
We know how it feels to be in your position; Clare launched CP Data Protection after several years working in-house on data protection, amongst other responsibilities. Our team has worked in and with all sizes of organisations, including many years in social-housing providers, and we are a small-business ourselves, so we understand your data and KIM challenges.
Most importantly, we have spent many years cultivating effective and practical data management processes, based on best-practice in data protection, as well as the disciplines of quality assurance and risk management.
We blend that expertise and knowledge together to guide you through the maze of legislation with clear advice and practical help, that works with your organisation, and even builds it up, rather than becoming a blocker.
If you want to gain insight, find an ideal system to manage data compliance, with assistance to implement it, a low-stress approach, and a supportive community, let us help!

CP Data Protection Timeline

Our Purpose
We exist to empower purpose-driven organisations to thrive by making excellent data-management accessible and actionable, so they can operate with confidence, knowing they are backed by strategies that protect their people, build trust, and secure their future.
- At CP Data Protection we wholeheartedly believe that data protection can be a positive experience; we provide tools, strategies, and advice in a clear & practical style, that turn this sometimes-challenging subject into an asset.
- Our work shines a light on the benefits of data protection and the fact that it includes so much more than keeping data secure (though that’s crucial too, of course!) It all starts with ‘purpose’.
- We also help you be prepared to act quickly & effectively when things go wrong.
(Because, spoiler; they will go wrong and personal data will end up in the wrong place at some point!)

Our Core Values
Our key value is Fairness:
At the heart of everything we do is a dedication to fairness. From the way we provide our services, to the way we encourage our clients to treat their customers and colleagues, and their data, we aim to be fair above all.
We believe in being inclusive and in treating every stakeholder – clients, partners, and team members – with respect, equity, and transparency.

Trust & Integrity:
We build trust through honest, reliable advice and a steadfast commitment to doing what’s right. Our integrity is the foundation of our relationships and reputation.
Purpose-Driven:
We exist to support organisations that care about people. Our work is guided by a clear sense of purpose—to create environments where fair and efficient data-management practices lead to real, meaningful success.

Meet the CP Data Protection Team

Clare
Director
Consultant
Clare combines her expertise from 25+ years in quality assurance and risk management, including over a decade specialising in data protection, to develop accessible, real-world advice and systems for data management and KIM (knowledge & information management).
While working in a large housing association, Clare became frustrated when data protection advice was just a reiteration of the law without any practical application, making it more difficult to embed and reap the benefits of effective data management. With this in mind, she launched CP Data Protection in 2017 to fulfil that need, and with the mission to really make a difference through her focus on ‘Purpose.’
You’ll usually find Clare balancing work with family life, listening to rock music or podcasts (and making a true-crime podcast too), drinking coffee and eating pasta.
Clients describe Clare as “friendly, professional and flexible”, having a “warm and friendly approach” and her work as “excellent quality”.
